Wifi Setup in SGI campus

SGI campus is configured with hi speed WiFi. Students can use it to learn and share knowledge and more.

• WiFi WITH CYBEROAM :

1. Its an OPEN WiFi but you cannot get connection direct. To prevent any cyber crime there are some limitations on WiFi.Therefore WiFi is configured with Cyberoam.
2. In order to connect to WiFi do following steps :

• Go to  Advanced Settings of WiFi and Set connection on Static IP mode.
• In static IP option you have to Fill following data :

1. IP address :                                                    172.16.**.**
2. Gateway     :                                                   172.16.0.1
3. Network Prefix Lenght  (for mobiles):          24 or 12
4. Netmask  ( if needed):                                   255.255.0.0
5. DNS 1   :                                                        172.16.0.1
6. DNS 2 :                                                           keep as it is

(you can enter combinations like 70,80,93,122 etc in placs of **.)

• LOGIN AFTER CONNECTION DONE :

1. After setting connection go to following link from your browser and enter 172.16.0.1:8090 as URL.
2. Captive Portal page will appear.
3. Type guest as both username and password and Login.
4. Do not close that tab/window and enjoy free internet in another tab/window.
